Child Developmental Therapy Consultant – Ms. Ann Chen
Ann Chen is our Child Developmental Therapy Consultant. She has been working in the field of child developmental therapy for more than 20 years. She is a registered Occupational Therapist and holds a Master Degree of Science in Health Administration and Research. Ann is a member of International Association of Infant Message, Certified Sensory Integration Assessment and Certified Somatic Experiencing Practionier. In additon, she is a DISC Certified Behavioral Consultant, and has training in Rhythmic Movement Therapy, Myofascia Release, Clinical Hypnosis, Neurolinguistic Programming, Brain Gym, Behavioral Therapy, Satir Model of Counseling and Family Constellation. Ann is an advisor of Hong Kong Special Education Association and ex-lecturer of Hong Kong Polytechnic University. In the recent years, she committed to helping children with special needs especially in Learning Difficulites, Autism/Asperger, ADHD, Motor Dysfuction and Global Developmental Delay. Ann developed "Self-Consciousness Awakening Therapy" treating children with Autism/Asperger
 


Speech Therapy Consultant - Ms. Elinda Liu
Elinda Liu is a professional Speech Therapist. She has a Bachelor of Science in Speech and Hearing Science (Hon.) from Hong Kong University and is a member of The Hong Kong Association of Speech Therapists. In addition to being a Certified Deep Pharyngeal Neuromuscular Stimulation Provider for Dysphagia (DPNS) and a Certified VitalStim Therapy Provider for Dysphagia, Elinda also has extensive knowledge in the Yell Well Technique, Picture Exchange Communication System and Craniosacral Therapy (Level 2).  Elinda has over 10 years of experience in helping students with developmental and learning difficulties. She has worked in kindergartens, primary schools, secondary schools, SEN schools and hospitals.  Elinda provides services in assessment and training in both speech and swallowing. She is very knowledgeable in children’s mind and body development, such as sensory motor function, higher-level cognitive thinking, and self-awareness.  She observes and analyzes children’s speech speech impediment from various angles. Furthermore, she is able identify the root problem in a student’s speech and language challenges, along with other developmental loopholes hindering their speech and learning ability.  Elinda integrates traditional speech therapy with developmental mind and body therapy to assist her students to overcome their speech challenges in a comprehensive way.
 


Educational Psychologist – Ms. Ellen Fok
Ellen Fok is a Hong Kong Registered Educational Psycholgoist. She holds a Master in Children and Educational Psycholgoy. In addition, Ellen is also a Certified Tutor of Positive Parenting Program. She is experience in learning problem for the children with low IQ, Dyslexia (both English and Chinese) and Autistic. Ellen conducts IQ Test, Dyslexia, Autistic and Special Needs Children Assessment and consultation.



Clinical Psychologist - Ms. Choy Shan Shan, Susanna 
Susanna Choy is a Registered Clinical Psychologist. She is the member of Division of Clinical Psychology, the Hong Kong Psychological Society and the Hong Kong Clinical Psychologist Association. Susanna has worked for 9 years as a clinical psychologist in local NGO and public hospital. She has served as honorary clinical supervisor for Master of Social Sciences (Clinical Psychology) trainees of HKU and CUHK. She has rich experiences in providing psychotherapy to children, adolescents and adults. She is experienced in providing diagnostic assessment and psychological treatments to clients who have special education needs (SEN), mood disorders such as depression, anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, perinatal mood problems and adjustment difficulties to serious illnesses (such as cancer, chronic pain, and dementia). She is also experienced to help clients deal with various life stressors, such as insomnia, bereavement and problems with family, study, relationships, work, self-image, and personal growth and developments. Susanna is experienced to conduct various public talks, seminars, workshops, and training activities to health care professionals, social workers, general public, patients, teachers and students on the topic of positive psychology, stress and emotional management, parenting skills, mindfulness, suicide prevention and coping with terminal illnesses.


Dr Sylvia LIU   Education Consultant
Dr Sylvia LIU is an education consultant and researcher.  She acquired her doctorate degree in Education (EdD) in the University of Hong Kong, focusing on gifted education and talent development. Dr Liu has been studying how interactive team games develop social-emotional learning and individual talents since 2004. One of the research contributions is the learning conceptual model, "Social Star Mirror Model" (「社交閃星星」) , which systematically uses interactive games to enhance social-emotional skills, and confirms that interactive games bring positive and sustainable results to gifted children and other school children on their social communication and self-discipline capabilities. Dr Liu successfully curated the "Pillars of Society" Project to train children with face-to-face interactive games. The scheme was funded by the Hong Kong Education Bureau's Quality Education Fund in 2006 and has been implemented in primary schools since then. In 2016, it was further subsidised to implement the "No Play No Gain" Kindergarten Social and Emotional Learning Project. From 2018, Dr Liu initiated a 3.5-year social-emotional learning - Jockey Club “Play n Gain” Project from kindergarten to the community. Dr Liu has been practising for decades in kindergartens, primary schools, secondary schools and universities. She is experienced in developing learning programmes for parent, teacher and student. She is enthusiastic about social services and is often invited to work as a game education consultant, design train-the-trainer programmes and coordinate projects. She is dedicated to develop the potential talents of children, the recent “EAR Communication” programme is the essence of her years’ studies and practice.
 

Counsellor - Ms. Jennifer Lau

Jennifer Lau studied Master of Counselling at Monash University.  After graduation, she continued studying different branches of counselling and healing: such as “Children’s Narrative Painting and Psychological Trauma”, "Mindfulness-based" Emotional and Social Learning for SEN children, Life Coaching, Family Constellation, Dance Healing, Satir Therapy Model, Somatic Emotional Regulation Techniques, Hypnotherapy etc.  In recent years, Ms. Lau focused on "Mindfulness Based Parental Communication and Nurturing ", "Harmonious Pastel Painting for Self-Exploration and Stress Reduction", and helping SEN students in strengthening their " Social and Emotional awareness and transformation" through mindfulness-based activities/games. Before working as a counsellor and mindfulness trainer, Ms. Lau is a journalist and children educator. She has been hosting Creative Writing Workshop / Reading Club / Children Counselling through Projective Drawing, Projective Cards and Picture Books for many years. She firmly believes that " Mindful Parental Nurturing" and Children Mindfulness-Based Activities” can greatly enhance parent-child relationship, children's self-confidence, self-esteem and self-compassion.


Child Developmental Trainers
All Trainers possess professional qualifications and educational backgrounds, including Occupational Therapist, Speech Therapist, Primary/Secondary school teachers, special needs teachers or Master/Bachelor in Special Education/ Educational Psychology. All of them are experienced and knowledgeable in child development areas to formulate effective trainings.
 

Executive Officer - Ms. Kenix Chan 
Kenix Chan is responsible for schedulng services and administration issues.
